Make any jeans, skirt or pants high waisted with this "JEAN-ius" design that acts like a corset and takes the waistbands of recycled jeans bringing them together in a flattering color scheme for your body. The strength and tenacity of jean waistbands contributes to some major tummy control. This vision came to me years ago as I was creating my entrance portfolio for the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) only thing is I didn’t know how to make it come to life (hence wanting to get educated). After graduating summa cum laude from FIT, I had jeans that didn’t fit me anymore and so implemented this idea so that they would and got to repurpose my jeans. As Thomas Edison stated, “Genius [JEAN-ius] is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.” If at first you don’t know how to make your idea work, stick with it by never giving up and a way will come if you are determined.

- CONCEPT >> "blueprint" of a design intended to be created in a variety of fabric hence using muslin (cotton fabric) to test out pattern; however, the blueprint came out so beautifully and works as a staple. Due to it being cotton, it is breathable although long sleeve.
